Multi-talented voice over artist, on-camera and radio host, actress, & co-leader/founder of LoopTownAmy Ulrich has worn many hats over the years.  And having been raised primarily in the heart of Hollywood, CA, she saw first hand what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry.  Time, dedication, talent, passion and patience.

In the voice over world, currently, you can hear her voicing tv promos for WGBH / Antiques Roadshow out of Boston and voicing the character of the “DriverX Narrator”, for “Driver X“, a feature film coming out soon. She’s also been voice matching (ADR) for movie trailers and narrating commercials and corporate videos for such clients as AMGEN, Bai Drinks, Microsoft, Band-Aid, Kimpton Hotels, Intex Mattresses, Lucky Buddah Beer, Proactive, ESPN, Cricket Wireless, Miller/Coors, & Harvard University, among others.  You can hear her demo here. She has voiced characters for FX’s Chozen, as well as Eleanor Roosevelt’s narration for The Quiet Philanthropist: The Edith Gaylord StoryShe also narrated and produced the audiobook version of the romance novel, Tango’s Edge. And most recently, she has joined forces with the incomparable Kelly Jean Badgley, as co-leader and founder of the loop group LoopTown, bringing background voices / walla to film, tv, commercials, video games and animation!

The host with the most and a huge fan of public broadcasting, she’s especially honored to help KPBS raise funds as their on-camera and radio host! She’s also now the live-event host for Women in Animation‘s “Conversations“, and was insanely lucky enough to interview and chat with the amazingly talented Laraine Newman earlier this year! In addition, she and PlayKids have joined forces for “20 Second Tips“, quick and easy parenting hacks to help make the job of mom and dad a bit easier. And she has hosted and helped people save money on AOL/Bank of America’s “Savings Experiment“, as well as’s Food Expert, dishing out food-related ideas and recipes. Previous hosting clients have also been, The United States Postal Service, iRobot Roomba and Orkin Pest Control .

As a commercial actress, she has played principal roles in ads for Kmart/WWE and Disneyland, in addition to being featured in ads for Selsun Blue, the Investigation Discovery Channel, Ocean City Tourism and others. Film-wise, she was one of the leads in the independent film The Joneses, which was featured at the Boston International Film Festival and has played supporting roles in a number of short films, as well as in the feature-length film Inconveniente.

Proud also to be a print model, she was on the cover of Woman’s World Magazine in 2009 and among her clients you’ll also find Fiat and Mattel. Her theatrical credits include It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play at the Cornerstone Theater in Pasadena, CA, which allowed her to explore her versatility, playing three different characters, and One Night Stands at the Avery Shreiber Theater in North Hollywood.

In addition to performing, she was able to explore her creativity in a way other than in front of the camera or on stage, by receiving her professional chef’s degree from The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts.  After working for a while as a chef, she decided to go back to performing and give it her all.  However, she hasn’t forgotten her culinary roots and is the author of All ‘Round the Table, a foodie blog that touches upon all things food, from taste to culture, as well as a host of food-related web videos for Shoptopia.

As a young girl, she loved putting on shows for her friends and family.  That fascination with performing blossomed into taking voice lessons for over twelve years and starring in plays and musicals while in high school.  While in college, she sang the National Anthem at the LA Tennis Open three years in a row and created her own television show on Indianapolis’s local public broadcasting tv station, incorporating the older films of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s that seem too often forgotten, another passion of hers…”classic cinema”.

Amy was never satisfied with the status quo and knew there was more out there to experience than the beauty of Southern California.  Over the years, she has called Los Angeles, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Indianapolis, Boston and Washington DC Metro her home.  She has now settled back in LA and is excited to be back in the heart of the entertainment world once again.

Let’s DO THIS. Love!
