I was one of four leads, also starring Stacey Cruwys, Jim Shalkoski and Tony Wright, not to mention the rest of the cast and crew, which were incredible.

It was an honor to be cast by and work with Chris and Stacey at Bjort Productions, and I had an absolute blast bringing “Ally Foster” to life.  Check out the trailer:

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterfully done black comedy  April 3, 2012

By Ben Radlinski

Format:Amazon Instant Video

I had a chance to see The Joneses at the Boston International Film Festival and I was pleasantly surprised. It seemed to be circulating around the same time as some half-baked, straight to video production starring David Duchovny and Demi Moore was making the rounds, but this film is far superior to that Hollywood tripe. The movie focuses on two suburban couples in Massachusetts who take neighborly competition to a whole new level, but I won’t spoil that for you. Solid writing and direction from Chris Tyrrell and a great performance by Stacey Cruwys (who I think wrote it with Tyrrell as well, now that’s talent!) and great supporting cast. It strikes a good balance between tragedy, black comedy and adds a hint of mystery. The supporting cast is strong with excellent work by James Shalkoski Jr., Amy Ulrich, and Tony Wright, as the core group of couples. Considering this is a very indie film, the camera work by Tyrrell (I’m guessing he was in charge) looks great, and the locations are well thought out, if not a bit cheezy, but it fits with the subject matter. All in all, a great little movie with twists and turns that will honestly surprise you. Go on, rent it. Buy it, even.
